| Item | Where | Use |

| Kokiri Sword | Chest in Kokiri Forest | Your first sword. Required to leave the forest. |
| Deku Shield | Kokiri Forest shop | Wooden shield. Burns, so keep it away from fire. |
| Fairy Slingshot | Inside the Great Deku Tree | Ranged seed weapon for eye switches and distant targets. |
| Bomb Bag | Dodongo's Cavern | Carries bombs for cracked walls and boss fights. |
| Boomerang | Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly | Stuns enemies and collects distant items. |
| Master Sword | Temple of Time pedestal | Adult Link’s sword and the key to the time skip. |
| Fairy Bow | Forest Temple | Adult ranged weapon, used against torches and eye switches. |
| Megaton Hammer | Fire Temple | Smashes pillars and flips stubborn switches. |
| Goron Tunic | Goron City shop | Protects against extreme heat. |
| Longshot | Water Temple | A longer Hookshot for crossing wide gaps. |
| Iron Boots | Ice Cavern | Sink underwater and resist currents. |
| Zora Tunic | Zora's Domain shop | Lets you breathe underwater. |
| Lens of Truth | Bottom of the Well | Reveals hidden objects and invisible enemies. Drains magic. |
| Hover Boots | Shadow Temple | Briefly hover over gaps and some hazards. |
| Mirror Shield | Spirit Temple | Reflects light and magic beams. |
| Silver Gauntlets | Spirit Temple | Lets Link lift heavy statues and boulders. |
| Light Arrows | Temple of Time and Ganon's Castle | Required to harm Ganondorf at the end. |
