# Dodongo's Cavern
Convince the Gorons you are a friend, enter Dodongo’s Cavern, and defeat King Dodongo for the Goron’s Ruby.

## Before you start

- Zelda's Letter
- Zelda's Lullaby

## Steps

1. Climb Death Mountain through Kakariko. Reach Goron City and speak to Darunia and the Gorons for the cavern entrance.
2. Blow open the cavern with a bomb flower. Carry the bomb flowers as you need them rather than all at once.
3. Inside, take the Bomb Bag and use bombs on cracked walls and rock formations.
4. Collect the dungeon map and compass, then work upward until you reach the boss room.

## Boss: King Dodongo

1. Dodge his rolling attack by sidestepping around the room edge.
2. When he inhales, drop or throw a bomb into his open mouth.
3. Slash him while he is stunned. Repeat until he falls.

## Tips

- Bomb flowers explode on a timer, so throw them quickly once picked up.
- Bombs are also on sale in Goron City if you run out.
