# Hyrule Field, Castle Town and Princess Zelda
Cross Hyrule Field, meet Princess Zelda, and learn the first three songs you will use for the rest of the game.

## Before you start

- Kokiri Emerald

## Steps

1. Leave the forest across the bridge and follow the path into Hyrule Field. Talk to Saria at the Lost Woods bridge first if she is waiting.
2. Cross the field to Hyrule Castle Town. At the castle, sneak past the guards to reach Princess Zelda and learn Zelda’s Lullaby.
3. Visit Lon Lon Ranch and talk to Malon. She teaches you Epona’s Song.
4. Through the Lost Woods, find Saria in the Sacred Forest Meadow entrance and learn Saria’s Song.
5. Head to Kakariko Village. Use the lullaby and story routes to open paths onto Death Mountain.

## Tips

- Zelda’s Letter opens the way past the guard at Kakariko’s gate and the Zora’s Domain path later on.
- Spend rupees at the Bazaar only after you know what the next dungeon needs. Bombs are the usual shortfall.
