Take Zelda’s Letter to Zora’s Domain. King Zora will then let you through the waterfall.
In Zora’s Domain, find a bottle (the Ruto’s Letter bottle) and follow the route into Lord Jabu-Jabu.
Inside, find Ruto and pick her up. Carry her to switches that she can reach, and stand on switches yourself.
Pick up the Boomerang. It stuns enemies and collects distant items.
Work through the dungeon with Ruto until you reach the boss room.

Boss: Barinade

Use the Boomerang to cut the tentacles holding the shell in place.
Slash the exposed core with your sword.
Repeat until it falls.

Tips

Always put Ruto down on switches that need weight. Bring her back out before opening doors you cannot reach.
